knowing when to keep your mouth shut is never when a friend needs you to say something at that moment to help them out. but because an association with wrongdoing is no excuse to make a friend and enemy at the same time when you're suffering for the rest of your life for the things that you did not do wrong but were associated with, should never go unrepented to the people you should have spoken for.
Recriminations: a man who sees something wrong and does not say anything should get punched in his eye. Similarly, a person who says something wrong without apology should get socked in his mouth. and if you knew something wrong and saw it happen but did not say anything they should smacked right in the nose.
